A Day in the Life as a Social Media Marketer

Social media marketing is a huge portion of the services that we provide at LaRubia Consulting. From analyzing post performance to actually going out to create content, here is a typical day’s tasks for us social media marketers:

  1. Content Brainstorming

    1. To start off our day, we do a large amount of brainstorming to create new content. The easiest way to find what’s currently trending on social media is by being on social media! We jot down and save different trends, audios, and any sort of content types that we can use for a potential client. We then match audios that are trending with each client’s brand personality. This allows for us to hop on trends while still maintaining the company’s personality. The same goes for trends, which can sometimes require us to take creative spins on a post to make it stand out.

  2. Content Creation

    1. After we have a few ideas of what we can create, we gather different stock footage given to us by a client or film/capture our own footage to use for each social media post. As of late, reels have been performing particularly well compared to static posts, so being able to have access to shoot or use clips is important to stay on trend. We try to stay consistent by using the brand’s colors and logo, using typography that fits with the theme of the brand. We use different programs, such as Canva, Capcut, Adobe, and more to put everything together. We then match up the social media post to the rest of the account’s page, to make sure that it fits and stays on brand. All we have left is to create a thumbnail for the post, and then send it over to our social media manager for review!

  3. Data & Analytics

    1. This is one of the most important steps to our process. Once our media pieces get posted, it is imperative to measure our performance. We look at various KPIs such as impressions, engagement and click-through rate (CTR). This way we are able to constantly evaluate how well our pieces are performing, and if we need to adjust our strategy. When a piece doesn’t perform as well as others, it’s important to understand why it did not perform well. Additionally, our analysis can vary based on the goals of the business. Whether our client’s goals are to gain a larger following or to retain current followers and maintain a high engagement rate, we update our strategies within the quickly changing technological landscape.

These are a few of the tasks that social media marketers are designated with at LaRubia Consulting. Along with content creation, we also have various packages that help with website creation, SEO strategy, and even having a custom jingle for your business!
